Masai Mara
Kenya's most celebrated wildlife reserve, famous for the Great Migration, resident big cats and open golden plains.
Rhino Sanctuary
Lake Nakuru National Park, in the Great Rift Valley, surrounds a shallow alkaline lake that has long drawn flamingos and other waterbirds. Although flamingo numbers vary with the water level, the park holds more than 400 bird species, including pelicans and eagles.
The park is a sanctuary for both white and black rhino, and it is one of the most dependable places in Kenya to see them. Lions, leopards, Rothschild's giraffe, buffalo and waterbuck live in its grasslands and acacia woodland, and Baboon Cliff gives a wide view over the lake.
Because the park is small and fenced, game drives are easy and unhurried. It is an ideal stop between the Masai Mara and Mount Kenya, or on the way to Lake Naivasha.
June to October and December to March are drier and good for game viewing. Bird numbers on the lake shift with water levels, so ask us about current conditions before travelling.
We do not have a published safari for Lake Nakuru yet. Tell us your plans and we will build one.
